Step by Step Guide to Renting a Property

It’s Your Move, Here’s How to Make it a Great One

Step 1

Register to Get your Competitive Advantage

The Dublin rental market is extremely competitive, so it helps to get a heads up before your competition. Register your requirements with us and we will let you know if any new listings that fit your preferences become available. As managers of over 1,000 properties in Dublin, this could be a crucial advantage for you.

Step 2

Find the Right Rental Property

Apart from getting a heads up on our new rentals, you can also brief us to shortlist properties that meet your requirements. We can reach out to you if properties that meet your criteria become available.

Step 3

Viewing

Request your viewing with the estate agent online or by email.

Use our checklist of questions to ask yourself when assessing the property to make sure you consider the less obvious things.

Step 4

Making an Offer

Once you find your perfect property you can make an offer directly from the listing on our site or by contacting the agent directly. Let us know if there any special conditions of the offer and we’ll communicate this to the landlord.

Step 5

Offer Agreed

If your offer is accepted, your landlord’s agent will organise the following:

  • Collection of references
  • Arrange Your Tenancy Agreement
  • Collect your 1st month’s rent and deposit
  • Arrange key handover and move in information
Step 6

Handover

The landlord’s agent can now give you the keys for your move in. Congrats!

If your property is managed by H&L we will give you the name of your Property Manager who will be your point of contact during your tenancy.
